About Cypherbird Projects
Theatrical & Multi-Genre Art - Imaginative, Original, Unconventional
Founded by Colorado playwright and theatre artist Lisa Wagner Erickson, Cypherbird Projects (formerly the Lulubird Project at Theater 29) is a platform dedicated to creating unconventional theatrical and multi-genre art.
From 2019 to date, shows and events have featured original works by over 45 Colorado creative artists, including playwrights, poets, visual and installation artists, fiction writers, and performance artists.

2024 Projects
September saw a staged reading a new play by local playwright & Cypherbird Projects founder Lisa Wagner Erickson about gnomes, magic, and and a perilous quest to steal the evil King’s bedazzled sword and throne. Directed by Candace Joice and featuring Veronica Straight-Lingo, JC Maheu, Shauna Earp, Kim Egan, Lauren Michelle Long, John-Cristian, Sadie Gracelynn Trigg, and Casey Walsh.
The evening opened with an original performance by Weird Alnite.
We made our Denver Fringe debut with a genre-bending fusion of comedy, storytelling, and interactive art, taking audiences on a journey through The Unexpected melding original performances by Israel Avila, Cristina A. Bejan, James Brunt, Sean Michael Cummings, Lisa Wagner Erickson, Corrina Espinosa, Cara Leoni, Brice Mauirro, and Weird Al Spankabitch
