Welcome to A SHINY QUEST

Join Burd, a gnome on a quest for the sparkliest stone.

1. Gather the materials . . .

  • Game pieces: Find some small object (ideally, something shiny) like buttons or rings to use as game pieces. Distribute one game piece to each player.

  • Number 2s: Cut up some small pieces of paper, each with the number two “2” printed on the front. Cut along Place the 2s in a container of your choice

  • Game boards: Scroll down to view the game boards Garden One, Garden Two, and Night Garden. Print out the images, or move through each on a computer or tablet screen.

2. Immerse your mind . . .

Imagine a tunnel underground. Perhaps a storm drain beneath a busy street.

3. Ready? let the journey begin!

  • Press “play” and let the beginning of this strange tale unfold in your imagination.

  • Then, when you hear a ding and a chorus of gnomes says, “Listen to every word we say. Become one Burd or many Burds to play,” get ready to guide your Burd through the gardens.
